Lantau Link Visitors Centre Opened in July 1998, the new Hong Kong International Airport is part of the Hong Kong Airport Core Programme. Lantau Link, which connects the new Airport to the urban areas, is one of the 10 projects that make up the Airport Core Programme. The Lantau Link was opened in May 1997. It includes the Tsing Ma Bridge, Kap Shui Mun Bridge and Ma Wan Viaduct. Among these bridges, the Tsing Ma Bridge is the world's longest spanning suspension bridge supporting both road and rail traffic, whilst the Kap Shui Mun Bridge is the world's longest spanning cable-stayed bridge supporting both road and rail traffic.
